No need for a long explanation at this early stage. I’m a person with interest in Web publishing methods.
At the beginning of what has come to be called Web 2.0 I realized that interactive trickery wasn’t the whole story. The modern Web offers many tools for creative expression. Some of these tools are useful for practical things like self-publishing and conducting commerce over the Internet.
That’s what this site is about. Self-publishing tools and related services. The slant is toward do-it-yourself methods. If it isn’t simple and useful to a moderately technical individual, it probably won’t get talked about here.
Moderately technical meaning not technical but inclined to discover and understand. That’s the key to so much of what’s out there now. To be a just a little technical and inclined to dig in and make something work. For the individual willing to do that digging, the reward will be empowerment. Taking the middle-man out of the web publishing process offers you greater power to innovate and ultimately to profit.
