SuperSaaS is One Year Old

The SuperSaaS scheduling system folks sent me an email note on new features of their online appointment system. On background I should say that they have a wonderful flexible online scheduler with a price you can’t beat.

The feature I’m glad to see they added was the ability to store credit card info so a company can collect card information at the time of online reservation and process it locally later. This eliminates the need to have online credit card processing ability for small merchants that already can process credit cards at their business location.

SuperSaas is a great low cost solution for scheduling and reservations. I plan to write a longer review of thise solution later but for now just go check it out and try to find a use for it. Smashing Steps To A Happy Relationship With Your Hosting Provider

Smashing Magazine published an article on selecting a hosting provider, 9 Steps To A Happy Relationship With Your Hosting Provider. This is a better hosting HowTo than mine, but they make some of the same points. I recommend using Netcraft.com to pick top web hosting providers, but I like their idea of using The Better Business Bureau to check up on a provider’s business ethic.

Item 2 of their 9 Step plan gives an indirect plug for some big hosting providers. Now some of these hosting companies in item 2 are no doubt good, but I’m pretty sure they are not all good. Like my recommendation here they talk about bias and outright fraud in reviews of hosting companies. Mimbo 3.0 WordPress Theme

The 3.0 release of the Mimbo theme, a free theme by Darren Hoyt, is available for download. See the Mimbo Release Page for details and download link.

The Mimbo theme already had a lot going for it as a free theme. Poor sibling of the Mimbo Pro theme, it has a great feature set for a free GPL WordPress magazine theme. This is a great theme for anyone needing basic magazine function on a budget.

Another thing I like this theme for is learning. As I said there’s a lot to like here, but there is also plenty of opportunity to grab some low fruit. Make some tweaks and this theme is your own. Continue reading ›

WestHost Announces Details of WestHost 4.0 and Beta Testing
